The Carlsbad Community Band is a performance ensemble designed for the study of music through the preparation and performance of literature for winds and percussion from a variety of styles and genres. Our commitment is to continually seek musical excellence through rehearsal and performance methods.
The Carlsbad Community Band is open to all community members who have had prior high school or college instrumental instruction. Our members range in age from 18-72. We have something for everyone to play and enjoy. Even though you may not have picked up your instrument in years, you will soon find that it all comes back in time. Our rehearsals are stress free and we just ask our members to do as much as they can.
We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm-9:00pm in room 101 on the campus of New Mexico State University-Carlsbad. Our rehearsal schedule follows the academic calendar of NMSU-C. Members are also able to take this as a college course for (1) credit per semester. Enroll in Music 260 for this great opportunity. So what are you waiting for? Come and join the music.
Our next performance is scheduled for March 1st.
